Our Little Company of Mary Spirituality is Marian and missionary. At once deeply contemplative, it is also evangelical in the real meaning of the term.
Flowing from the spirituality of the Montfortian school, our spirituality focuses us on becoming women whose spiritual consciousness is illuminated by an inner knowledge of God. Our whole spiritual life directs us towards an identification with the "mother love of the Good Shepherd" i.e. with the maternal role of Jesus. This means that it is our contemplative lives that turn us towards participation in the missionary activity of the church. We are, in the words of our founder, to “tell the tale of Jesus’pity to save souls...[to] rise up in power and preach the wonders of the pity of the Sacred Heart...[and] draw to this source of strength, the weak, the sinful.”[
With and in the company of Mary, the Mother of the Lord, we see the face of Christ in our brothers and sisters, and minister to them with her love and compassion
Our personal life of prayer is an important part of our ministry here at the House of Prayer. We pray for those who come to deepen their spiritual lives, and all those who come to this place. Our common journey of life binds us to one another, and our prayer for those to whom we minister is an important part of our daily lives.
Resources for the spiritual journey are many. Here are some which may help you in your ongoing life of relationship with God.
